Eric Pete I kinow^^ after you write the guitar, bass and drum parts. The lyric's are the fun/easier part of song writing. One would think that with as many artists(mainly back in the day) that are/were around, they would'nt have to rely on one person to write all the lyrics. Some artists lyrics matches up pretty good with their lifestyle too. I meaN, if one has an artistic streak inborn in them, you'd think that you'd want a little diversity in song writing. Its not like it would be impossible to write lyrics to a song you worked ypour ass off to put together. Then just hand all them hours and work over to one single person to add the lyrics to. The music always comes first, the lyrics, well in some cases, the lyrtics could be construed as one's personal crossword puzzle. Non-linear, open to interpretation. Multiple meanings, etc. I know that after I have a good portion of a song written on guitar, the fun, easy -less stressful part is coming up with lyrics.
