But, there are tunnels under Giza - a grid of intersecting tunnels many levels deep into the ground - there are vertical shafts as well as horizontal shafts and ramps going down between the levels. It's more accurate to refer to them as tunnels.
Helen Parks and if you go to Thuthmoses II Stele - very clearly on it is described TWO Sphinxes facing each other with the underground cities. It is speculated there was another Sphinx on the other side of the Nile (which once used to flow right by the Pyramids.) The head on the Sphinx is that of HatShepSut.

Steve Stopford Forget the caves. There are vertical cylindrical shafts close to the old salt water line. There are quite a few of them. In them are many records, mummies of dead pharaohs and lots of other interesting things that will be of great benefit to humanity stacked one on top of the other, when the sphinx was there but the Great Pyramids had not been built. Hopefully someone will find them soon.

Steve Stopford As for the Ark, it is not a Jewish artifact, it is Egyptian. You will find it depicted in the Egyptian temples long before the Jews existed. Where is it? My guess in the land of the red dragon flag. Some forensic historians believe it is there, not far from Cardiff.

Steve Stopford On virtually every pharaohs image you will see the Serpent symbol. In fact the beard is also depicted as the Serpents body as well (it goes right through the head) showing that the Serpent is an actual part of the beings DNA its reptilian DNA. Elizabeth can trace her bloodline back to Egypt, in fact beyond that to Babylon.
